Did Not Expect This Sound From A Small Soundbar

Table of Contents

    Introduction :

This is a 5.1 surround sound soundbar with satellite speakers, and that too in such a small box. And apart from that, they said that you will get Dolby audio and a great theatrical experience. And the size is small, and the sound is very good. We said that we would open the box, check it first, and then tell you.

So we will open the box. What are you saying? Accessories inside? They have packed it very well. Egg tray. There are a lot of accessories. First of all, you will get a remote, which we usually get with Zebronics speakers.
There are wall-mount angles in the box. And there is an AUX cable too. Apart from that, we will get a power adapter here.

Long wires. It’s very small. A small soundbar. A small subwoofer.

And 2 small satellite speakers. We read on the box that it has a total output of 380W. We don’t think it has 380W output. Will there be enough sound? Let’s play it and then see. The satellite speaker’s wire is quite long as well. It’s around 10 feet. We think it’s a 20-foot-long wire. We felt a lack of 1 thing. When they were putting so much in the box, they should’ve put HDMI too.

Because it supports HDMI ARC as well. What do you think? What kind of sound will it have? Good. According to me, it’s good for small setups. Yes, it’s good for small rooms. According to your height, the size of the soundbar is good. Let’s have the first impressions of the sound. The size of the room where we’re shooting is 10×12. So we’ll judge the sound according to that.

And currently, we’re playing it with Bluetooth. We haven’t connected the HDMI ARC yet. We’ll set it up on TV, experience it.

    Build & Design :

Although these are quite small. We were testing it. The sound quality is amazing! Because we experienced gaming, movies, and music in it.

We experienced it in different rooms as it’s a small device. So we had to see what type of people it targets, and how much area they will need to get a particular sound experience.

And don’t go by its size. Size doesn’t matter. We’ll talk about the sound, but let’s start with the design. Firstly, the soundbar. It looks small, but the build quality is solid. The polycarbonate used is good.

We get 4 buttons on top. It’s in a rubberised texture with branding on top. And from left to right, you get a metal mesh grill. On the back, there are ports. You can also wall-mount it. As we showed in the unboxing, there’s a lot of stuff in the box.

So, people can figure it out. Then there are the satellite speakers. This is interesting, we’ll talk about it later. The power scenario is a bit different. There’s a Zebronics branding on top with a mesh grill. There are rubber grips at the bottom. If you keep it somewhere, it’ll hold it. There’s space for the mount at the bottom. Something like this came in its box. You can screw it on the wall in an L shape.

Or if you get a screw of this size, you can mount it on a tripod. You can do as you want to set it in your room. Then there’s the subwoofer. It looks small, but it’s the same as a subwoofer.

It’s in a wooden building. There’s a Waste Reflex port at the front. There’s a passive radiator at the bottom. And this wire connects to the soundbar. Even the satellite speakers connect through a wire. The wire is quite long. So you can easily adjust it in your room. The satellite speakers have around 20ft long wire. So if you have a normal room size like ours, then you can easily connect a satellite speaker anywhere. Then coming onto the ports.

There’s a subwoofer port at the back. The SR & SL ports are for the left and right satellite speakers. There’s a power input port. There’s an optical port & a USB port. In this, you can connect a pen drive, which supports up to 32GB. Only in MP3 format. If you want to play songs at home, it’ll be useful.

There’s an AUX port here. You can connect your laptop, smartphone, etc. And there’s an HDMI port. For ARC, Audio Return Channel. If you want a peak output & you want Dolby Audio output, then connect it to your TV via HDMI ARC. It’s fun!

    Specifications :

Now let’s talk about the technical specs. It comes with a 5.1 surround sound.

You must have seen 5.1.2 written in some soundbars. Basically, it also has top-firing speakers. How is it 5.1? There are 3 speakers at the front of the soundbar. These are 55W each. And its satellite speakers are also 55W. These are 2, so these are 5 in total. 1 means the subwoofer, and the subwoofer is 105W.

The total output is 380W. This small thing gives an output of 380W. For the 1st time, we’re seeing that the wattage of speakers is in the soundbar. Satellite speakers are of the same wattage. Otherwise, satellite speakers are always of less wattage for a surround sound experience.

And it has a type of impact that we get in the sound.

    Sound Experience :

Now let’s talk about the experience. First of all, if you listen to music.

It will give you the best possible sound because we have tested speakers. Normally, there are Bluetooth portable speakers and party speakers. But if you want a good music experience. If you are fond of listening to songs. It will give you a very good experience. Because the satellite speakers also give an equal throw, the entire room is covered. And it’s fun to listen to songs. We also get a good bass.

We won’t say that you will get a very wavy bass. It’s not like that. It has a 105W subwoofer. You will feel the bass. It’s not an over-thumpy bass. You get a balanced experience of sound and bass. And in music, you can hear the mids and vocals well. In separation, you can feel it. If you have experienced a soundbar bigger than this. Or if you have experienced an expensive soundbar. Because it’s a small size. In a small size, there are 3 speakers. So it doesn’t get that much space to spread the sound properly.

But yes, the satellite speakers do their job. Why can we say this? Because we have experienced multiple soundbars. Rest, the highs are crisp and good to listen In overall music experience, we didn’t find any problem. According to the price. Then coming on to the movies. Because in movies, we get a proper 5.1 experience. There is some music in which you can experience Dolby.

But mainly, we experience it in movies. In all Netflix libraries, we get 5.1 support. And don’t get confused between Dolby Audio and Atmos. Atmos is subject-based. In which you hear the sound as per the visuals. But in Dolby Audio, there is an enhancement. So that you can hear the audio clearly.

That was a different cinematic experience within this price range. Not too expensive, but 3 such speakers can be bought for that much money in movies, we experienced RRR, Animal, and Spiderman. We experienced all the movies we knew on Netflix. And when you turn on the Netflix app, Dolby Audio shows up on the screen.
And you get a fulfilling experience in the room. The sound came equally from the entire room. As we told you, it has a 55W satellite speaker. And there are dialogues, separation, Left & right can be recognized clearly.

When something comes out from the left. Like we were watching Spiderman’s climax scene.

The sound design is very good in that. And you can feel the stereo separation in the left & right. And it’s loud, so you can hear them better. Like we were watching Jurassic World. In that, there are some scenes in the dinosaur scenes where you can see the character. But you can hear the sound of dinosaurs too. And you will feel that some sound is coming from the left & right. And it felt like there was something on the left.

Then we saw that the sound was coming from the speaker. And it’s impactful because the stereo speaker is very loud. So you will get a fulfilling experience in the room. Still, let us clear it again. Consider Dolby Atmos, 7.1.2, or 5.1.2. There are vertical speakers in the soundbar. They give a more immersive experience. It’s not that immersive. But the immersive experience it creates in movies is commendable. Other than that, it has different equalizer modes.

It has music, movies, voice, light, sports, and other modes. And here, we felt a slight lack. When we change the modes, it shows EQ1, EQ2 & a number. So by looking at the user manual, we understood different modes. And then we remembered which mode is on which number. Because the sound experience also changes.

So by looking at the content, you can change the equalizer. But yes, it has a good digital display. So if it had been written in proper alphabetical order, it would’ve been better. Rather than this 1, 2, 3, 4. It’s a little confusing to understand. And there is a settings icon on the remote. Through this, you can adjust its base, mids, treble, surround, etc.

There are different alphabets for them. And it’s easy to understand. So you can tweak it by yourself. And if you want to reset it, hold the settings icon for 2 seconds. And the default value will be set. We kept the base full in our content. We kept the treble at mid, and we increased the surround.

Yes, the mids & vocals were giving a better experience at 0 level. Even at minus 2 or minus 3. Because when we were pushing it, the dialogues were getting very shrill & sharp. So it felt like all the things were getting suppressed, & The dialogues were sounding very loud. So you can tweak that according to you.
Meaning, you will get a good sound experience.

    Gaming Experience :

And the same goes for gaming. If you connect a PS5, you get Dolby audio in it. And you get the same experience as in movies. If you play FIFA, Spiderman, or any PlayStation title, the sound separation is very good. And if you have an 8×8 or 10×10 room, then this is a sweet spot for that. It has a 380W output. We were testing it in a big area as well, which is our working area.

The sound was good here as well. But still, the experience is best in a room. And if you have a desk setup and you are doing gaming. And if you think that there should be good sound in gaming You are playing with a controller at a distance, then you can put a small soundbar on the desk and put a satellite speaker at the back, and the subwoofer will come under the table. This can also be good.

And the remote is the same as the one that comes with all Zebronics soundbars. It has Volume button, Play, Pause, Front back, Input, Pair, Equalizer, and Settings.

    Conclusion :

So, this was the complete review of Zebronics Juke bar 9300C, and it is launching. You can check the card and bank offers. We can’t say if the price will vary in the future. You get 5.1 surround sound, Dolby audio, and if you are looking for a soundbar for movies, music, gaming, etc., and usage in your room.

Then you can definitely check this out. You will get party speakers at the price point, but their use case is completely different. If you are looking for a cinematic, theatrical experience, then go for these things. Otherwise, you get portable things at this price point.

And if you have a budget, then there will be another model 9010C, which will be of 140W, and it will also have Dolby Audio SO you can check that as well if you want slightly less sound. It is like the more money you put into it, the better experience you will get.

Rest, Stay healthy, Stay safe, till next bye.
