Real me – Overhyped Battery Phone !

Table of Contents

    Intro:

There was a time when the 3000mAh battery was considered big in smartphones. After that, the 5000mAh power bank looked like this. And this phone has a 10001 mAh battery. Who needs this 10,000mAh battery? And they are saying that it will charge the other device with 27W reverse wireless.

We have done all the testing, and let’s see what’s good and what’s not in this phone. And ultimately, what kind of users does it target? Because the target audience is very different.

    Unboxing:

We will open the box, and we will get a box like this.

P4 Power is written on top, and below it says Make it Real. In this, we get a cover, and this is our smartphone, and here we get an 80W charger and a Type A to C cable. And finally, here is our smartphone. As soon as you hold it in your hand for the first time, it looks heavy. It has a big battery.

    Variants:

By the way, we get 3 variants in this phone. The base variant is mid-range, which is 8/128GB. 8/256GB is also in mid-range, and 12/256GB is in mid-range, which makes no sense. 8/256GB is a sweet spot because we need internal storage. What will a person do with 12GB RAM in this phone? And the colour that we have is trans blue. Rest, it also comes in silver and orange. Everybody wants to launch orange.

    Build&Design:

Design-wise, the colour we have has different patterns. It has Real me branding and a screw-type design. The back doesn’t have glass; it’s polycarbonate. But it gives a glass-like feeling. The frame is polycarbonate, not metal. On the right, there is a volume rocker button and a power button. On top, there is an IR blaster and a microphone. There is nothing on the left. On the bottom, there is a speaker, A Type C 2.0 port, a mic, and a SIM tray. In which you can put a dual nano SIM. There is no SD card system. The in-hand feel of this phone is good. It is 6.8 inches in size, and it feels heavy. It weighs around 220 grams.

Typically, smartphones are around 190-200 grams. So, if you are using a light phone, and as soon as you hold it, it feels heavy in the beginning. But once you get used to it, it doesn’t feel that heavy after that. The thickness of the phone is 9.08mm. The display and the glass are curved. So, it doesn’t feel that thick. And yes, it is IP69 rated. So, it won’t get damaged if it gets wet or dusty.

    Speakers:

The first drawback of this phone is that you get a single speaker. According to me, it should’ve been a stereo speaker. And the sound of the speaker is decent. We can’t say that it is very good or very bad. It sounds good at 100% volume. It also has a 400% mode. In which the volume increases a little. Usually, people will listen to music at 400% volume. That is just a gap after 90%. They just kept its name 400%, it will look like it’s loud. You get Reality audio just like any other realme device.

You get all the codecs like SBC, AAC, LDAC, and others that you can see on the screen. And Haptic motors. It has a basic vibration motor. It is not that fun to use. So, you will get a basic vibration motor. And the Haptics implementation in UI is also good. This is usually found on realme phones.

    Display:

Then, coming onto the display. It has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The entire UI is running at 120Hz. You can select an app-specific refresh rate. In which you have to increase the refresh rate forcefully in an app. But you don’t get the option of 144Hz. So, it is 144Hz for marketing.

Otherwise, assume that it is 120Hz. And we get Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection at the front. It is a curved display, and it has this much curvedness. And yes, we get a pre-applied screen guard out of the box. Which is a good thing. You are getting a screen guard and a cover, so you don’t have to run anywhere on the first day. It has a 1.5K display with 1280×2800 resolution.

It has an 89.5% screen-to-body ratio. The display is curved, so bezels can’t be noticed easily. But, if you look closely, you can feel that the bezels. It has an LTPS display, which means a fixed refresh rate. It can come down to 30 FPS. In most cases, it comes down to 60. The colours of the display are good.

We tested the colour gamut. It showed 85% sRGB, 70% P3 values. So, according to the price, the colours are good if you watch content on it. The brightness is also good. In outdoor mode, it can push up to 960 nits. So, if you want to use it indoors or outdoors, the display is usable.

Brand claims that it can push up to 6500 nits peak. If that much brightness is pushed in a very small window, then it is marketed. There is no disappointment in brightness. You get an AMOLED display, but it’s not permanent. It stays for a while, then it turns off. In Multimedia, it has Widevine L1. You will be able to watch the content on OTT at the maximum resolution.

You get HDR10 support in Netflix, and you can watch videos on 4K 60 HDR on YouTube. We were watching Costa Rica. It lags when you hold it to play in 2X. Otherwise, it works fine. The calibration of HDR is good.

The dynamic range is good. The brightness doesn’t overboost. The colours are also good. The blacks are also looking deeper. So, there is no problem with HDR. Overall, the display is very good. But if it had dual or stereo speakers, it would have been better.

    Specifications:

Now talking about the technical specs. It has MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra. Although we get the iQOO Neo 10R at around the same price. It comes with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3. So, you can get a better performance than this.

Although we get the iQOO Neo 10R at around the same price. It comes with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3. So, you can get a better performance than this. We will talk about other smartphones at the end. And it has LPDDR4X RAM. And it has UFS 3.1 storage, which is good.

    Performance & Benchmarks:

And we tested Antutu, scores are up to 1 million. And these are the Geekbench 6 scores. And the GPU’s score is also around 3000, and we did the Wild Life Extreme stress test. The loop scores are not that good as the performance is not that good. The stability is 99%. And we also did a CPU throttle test for 15-30 minutes. So, the graph was green. So, it is not a performance-targeting phone.

    Connectivity:

In connectivity, you get only 9 5G bands. In competition, you get more 5G bands. So, it can create issues in connectivity in remote areas. We didn’t face any problem while using it. It has Wi-Fi 5 even when it was launched in 2026. Nowadays, smartphones come with Wi-Fi 6E. The price is also not that low. It ranges from mid-range. It has Bluetooth version 5.4. It has an optical fingerprint scanner, which works well. It also has an IR blaster. You can control AC, TV, etc.

    Game Test:

It also has a gyro, which works well. We were seeing the gaming performance. In BGMI, we tested Extreme Plus on Smooth. It gave 83 average FPS. In Call of Duty, we got 68 average FPS on Smooth and Ultra. That is around 70 FPS. In Wuthering Waves, we set 60 FPS on quality. It gave an average of 28 FPS. Then we tested it on balance, in which we sometimes get good maximum FPS. But the average FPS was not good here as well.

In Genshin Impact, we first tested on the highest settings and set 60 FPS. It gave 38 average FPS. Then, in the lowest settings, we got an average of 50 FPS. You can play Genshin Impact on the lowest settings. Then we tested CarX street, which gave an average of 35 FPS in that. The temperature of the phone was around 38-39 degrees. The phone feels warm. And we tested RDR on Netflix, and it has 30 FPS locked.

It maintained an average of 29.6 degrees. The temperature was around 35-36 degrees. The phone doesn’t feel hot. It feels warm. So, you can do casual gaming on this phone. You can play BGMI, COD, etc. It won’t disappoint you in that.

    OS & UI:

Then, in terms of operating system & user interface. And we get 3 years of major updates and 4 years of security updates. We haven’t used any Realme phone primarily. If any of you are using a Realme phone, how frequent the major updates are. It has the latest Realme UI 7.0. There is not much bloatware.

We haven’t seen any hot app games. But there are pre-installed apps. You get Snapchat, Spotify, Phone Pay, and Finshell Pay already installed. There are many other apps that we will show you on the screen. There is an app market notification. You can disable it, you’ll get Realme touches in that.

It has its own dialer. The other person won’t get a notification during the call recording. You should use it responsibly. It is very useful sometimes. The UI is good. We liked the app opening & closing animation. There were no issues while using it in day-to-day usage. There are no lags & stutters.

You get a dynamic bar for live alerts. It has Flux themes. You get a depth effect feature. You can change the size of the icon & folder on the home screen. It also has air gestures. You can pick up calls through it. You can scroll through Instagram. You can scroll like this without hands.

Then there is a shake-to-launch feature. Just like we get in Motorola phones, in which you can turn on the flash by shaking the phone. You can set it to camera or flash in the settings. You can also open the camera with it. You get a fluid glass effect. You can lock apps.

    AI Features:

You get a sidebar for apps, and you can open the floating window from here. It has AI features. You get an AI writer in the notes app. In that we get format, polish, proofread, and AI translate. It supports multiple languages, including Hindi. You can translate documents. There is an AI gaming coach. In that, you get tips on-screen. It works in BGMI. We tested it, but got nothing. You get an AI editor in the gallery. In which we get features like clarity, recompose, eraser, etc. Rest, we get a circle to search. It’s a feature of Google Gemini.

    Battery:

The biggest highlight of this phone is the battery. It has a 10000mAh battery. It has an 80W charger. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to fully charge. But it was in normal mode. It has a boost mode as well. In that, it got fully charged in 1 hour and 20 minutes. According to 10000mAh, the charging speed is good. Talking about the battery backup, we used it. It also had a SIM card.

It was connected to Wi-Fi in the office. It didn’t run out of battery for 2 days. In which we did day-to-day tasks, and casual gaming. We also did surfing on YouTube, Instagram, etc. Our backup was according to that, but the backup can vary according to your use case.

If you have very little usage, then you can run it for more than 2 days. You can see the chart. In that, we compared the CMF Phone 2 Pro and iQOO Z10. In different use cases, the phone ran for 10 hours and 19 minutes. So, the battery backup is amazing. And it has reverse wired charging.

The brand claims that it has a 27W reverse wired charging. We tried it. It was just giving 5-7W in the other phone. We charged it with Infinix Zero 30. It has a 5000mAh battery. And it took 2 hours and 18 minutes to fully charge it from 5%. Sometimes, it went up to 9W. And ultimately, in realme, 40% of the battery was left. So, it is charging properly. Usually, in power banks, they don’t run at full efficiency.

They run at 80-90% efficiency. The same is the case with this. But the speed of 27W is not there. Probably, they will fix it through an update. Although this is a hardware issue, we don’t know if it will be fixed or not. If you urgently want to charge your device, like a TWS or any other device, you can do it with this phone.

    Camera:

Now, coming on to the cameras. You can see 3 cameras at the back. There is nothing in the 3rd one. There are only 2 cameras. The upper one is a 50MP primary, and the lower one is an 8MP ultra-wide. And at the front, you get a 16MP sensor. We can record up to 4K 30FPS from the back and 1080P 30FPS from the front. If you make a video from the front camera, you will get this quality in 1080P 30FPS. And if you want to record from the back camera, you can do it on 4K 30FPS.

And here are some other camera samples, which we took in daylight outdoors. And the camera is decent. Because it doesn’t maintain highlights and shadows. If you look at the skin tones, it is ultra-wide. So, it is very weird. The dynamic range is not that good. And there are no details.

If you zoom in ultra-wide, you will find a lot of details missing. Rest, somehow, it maintains the dynamic range well. We were looking at the photos against the sun. Other than that, the colours get washed out. Other than that, we took a lot of photos in daylight. You can just click photos with it.

But you won’t get a good-looking photo or social media-ready photos. Because there are not many details in the photos. Other than that, if you look at the photos of human samples, it misses some details in the skin tones if you zoom in. But if you look at the photos once, it looks good.

So, we took different photos with this. And ultimately, if we come to low light, the photos of low light are not good. We just clicked them, but it is not that usable. Even the details are not captured properly, whether it is ultra-wide or primary. The footage becomes very grainy.

If you want to take a photo, the edge detection is good. According to the price point. You can’t expect much from it. Because it is not a camera-centric phone. Its entire focus is on the battery.

    Conclusion:

So, this is the complete review of Realme P4 Power. And this phone directly targets those people, for whom battery is the only priority. And they don’t use the camera too much. For example, Delivery partners who stay outside the whole day. They don’t get time to charge their phones. And all their work is done with the phone. So, it targets those people who are in field jobs.

Those who travel a lot. Who goes on tours? And they want a phone with a big battery. This phone is for them. Because the main thing is the display. The display is very good. Apart from that, there is a battery. And 80W fast charging. So, it is good in all those things. But, there are drawbacks, like Wi-Fi 5, Only 9 5G bands.

So, probably, those who stay in the field. And work in remote areas. So, there may be issues in connectivity with them. We didn’t test it. And apart from that, 27W wired reverse charging. We don’t know when it will be fixed. Right now, it is running up to 5-7W. Apart from that, you have seen the performance. The performance is okay.
